Although this wasn’t announced in the final service, as it often is, 90&9 has been told by a reliable source that Youth Congress 2011 will be in Columbus, Ohio, and Youth Congress 2013 will be in Louisville on August 3-9!Our sources are the Louisville Courier-Journal and the Louisville Mayor's office.

ReplyDeleteEast America exactly. What about FLORIDA???? Never had a Youth Congress there! Vacation destination of the planet...more things to do, more venues to have large conventions at, more major airports than just about any state in the Union.

Youth Congresses are 2 years apart...enough for ANY group, that really wants to go, to plan and pay for it.
Well, no offense "Texas" and "Colorado", but if you would look at a population concentration of the US more then half of the nations population is on the eastern sea-board which generally means more churches. However I will admit that Texas does have a huge district. Although the argument for Colorado isn't viable at all. Now, as far as fairness goes yes it probably isnt right that it's always on the east coast. But hey that's life right?

ReplyDeleteYouth Congress is bid on by states. They look at population maps but mostly it is bid on because of the revenue it brings to cities.

ReplyDeleteOK I am planing to bring 3 charter buses One departing from Shreveport, LA and the other from Oklahoma City, OK the buses will have multiple pick up locations the 3rd bus will depend on demand of the trip. I got to go to youth congress in I think it was 1998an i think every member of the youth sould get to go if your church would like to get involved in the trip please contact me by email hiswill1983@yahoo.com I will also pick up in Arkansas and Missouri
